The Story

Nestled just below the town of Buesaco, on steep slopes with panoramic views of the surrounding Andes mountain range, lies El Guayabo farm. Amelio began cultivating coffee on these five hectares back in 2005, initially starting with traditional varieties like Caturra and Colombia.

In 2014, he began focusing more on quality and experimenting with varieties such as Castillo and Geisha, eventually leading him to compete and place in the Colombia Cup of Excellence competition.

The farm is characterised by sandy loam soil, ample shade coverage, and an ideal elevation for the slow maturation of coffee cherries.

Amelio is a long term partner of our friends at PROCAAL coffee and contributes his washed caturra to our BS1 Espresso
