The Story
Since we launched our Brazilian offering a few years ago, it’s been an absolute favourite. Our Brazil Clássico series, is perfect for those who like a reliable cup, a flavour that’s bold, smooth & sweet. These are characteristics we’ve endeavoured to honour when cupping for a fresh Brazilian coffee as we roll through the seasons. This lot has a big smooth chocolatey body, with notes of honey & hazelnut. Working well black but also cutting though dairy and alternative milk for those who favour their brews that way.
This version of Brazil Classico is a single farm lot from the Cerrado Mineiro region, Daterra Estate. Cerrado is a world-recognized, high-quality coffee producing region and became the first Protected Geographical Indication in Brazil in 2005, with full Designation of Origin in 2013.
Daterra Estate: Pioneers in quality and sustainability in Brazil, they were the first coffee farms in the world to be awarded B corp certification and one of the first Rainforest Alliance certified. Daterra blends innovative agricultural practices with a deep respect for environmental stewardship. A large estate with 6,600 hectares of land, only 2,700 of that is coffee plantation, with the rest dedicated to environmental preservation.
